Achieve more with music this summer!
Looking for something unique for your kids to do this summer? Join our Board-Certified Music Therapists in a virtual summer music camp where kids can learn and grow, all while having fun making music!
What is Music Therapy?
Music therapy is a health profession that uses music as a tool to achieve non-musical goals. Kids participating in a music therapy activity aren't focused on building specific musical skills (like learning a musical instrument); instead, they are taking advantage of the unique effect of music-making on the brain to hone their skills in a variety of areas (academic, social, behavioral, etc.). See our information page to learn more.
Music therapy interventions have been a powerful tool for children with special needs. However, this program is open to children of all ability levels and activities can be customized to the specific abilities of each child or group.
How does it work?
Eight 1-week sessions will explore a different theme each week. Each session will include:
- Five 30-minute group classes via Zoom (one 30-minute session each day)
- Two 30-minute individual telehealth sessions with a Board-Certified Music Therapist
- Approximately six hours of on-demand video programming
- Additional materials (relating to the week's theme) which may be shipped or emailed to you
